About

Future Literacy exists to help people and institutions build futures worth inhabiting.

We are a small, globally connected strategic firm working on large systemic problems, from the first emerging signal through to deployment in the real world.

What Future Literacy is

Most companies know how to sell products. Few know how markets are created.

Over the past decade, we have helped shape initiatives that later became national programmes, technology ecosystems, strategic infrastructure projects and commercial opportunities involving governments, industry leaders, investors and frontier technology companies.

Some resulted in billion-euro programmes. Others mobilised hundreds of organisations around emerging technologies before they became strategic priorities.

We arrive early, we listen, we imagine the future that can be, and help others shape it. We are there before the mandates. Visions and opportunities do not appear out of nothing, creating them is what gives you the edge.

Founder

“High agency brings you the world.”

María Luque — Founder, Future Literacy Group

For the longest time there was no word for what we do. It sits between strategic intelligence, ecosystem building, market creation and deployment — and it is defined by being present in the field, early, with the people who can make something exist.

Principles

How we work.

Early

We work before opportunities are obvious and before mandates are written.

In the field

Presence, not desk research. We walk the path we recommend.

Systemic

We design for the whole ecosystem, not for a single actor.

Accountable

Our measure is whether something real exists at the end.
